We have a position open
for a Field
Technician. The
primary objective of the
field technician is to
provide field
installation, service,
technical support and
trouble shooting for all
product lines of the
company.
Meeting this objective
includes:
1. Reviewing
the customer’s system
layouts and schematics
with the Softrol design
engineer and creating
the bill of material for
the system.
2. Acting
as the on-site project
manager. Follow the
established project plan
while keeping the
customer and Manager of
Project Engineering
informed of the progress
through use of the
interim installation
report.
3. Keeping
and protecting an
organized inventory of
installation parts at
the project site.
4. Taking
action to insure timely
and cost-effective
installation of
projects.
5. Training
customer’s maintenance
and production personnel
on maintaining the
systems.
6. Training
all customer’s personnel
on safety issues of
products.
7. Conducting
the startup of the
system to achieve
turnover to the
customer.
8. Making
follow up
recommendations to lower
installation time and
costs, and to improve
the quality of
installations and
products.
9. Ensuring
all manuals, drawings,
schematics and pertinent
information are in the
possession of plant
personnel before leaving
the project site.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Five years of
hands-on experience
with
electro-mechanical
installations.

Ability to
effectively use
Microsoft Word, and
Excel; AutoCAD
familiarity a plus.

Ability and
willingness to do
extensive national
traveling.
-
Good credit.
The job requires
significant travel (70%)
in order to complete
installations of our
products across the
USA.
