Softrol takes pride in employing high quality people that are committed to developing innovative solutions for our clients. Most of the management team has been with Softrol for a number of years, offering invaluable industry experience to client organizations.


Chad-KeithChad Keith
Chief Executive Officer

Chad founded Softrol Systems in 1987 with the vision of building a high technology company that would address the many wet processing, process control and automation problems, such as those found in traditional wet process industries including the textile manufacturing and textile rental industries.

With over 38 years of professional, technical and managerial experience, Chad is responsible for overall operations and delivery of innovative solutions to client organizations. Prior to Softrol, Chad founded and managed another successful company, Keith Associates, in 1976.

Chad is active in several industry organizations including Uniform Textile Services Association, Textile Rental Services Association, American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, and American Chemical Society.

Chad’s education includes a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia, an Associate degree in Engineering from Kennesaw State University, U.S. Navy electronic school, and an electronics degree from DeVry Institute.

Brent-KeithBrent Keith

Brent has served as Softrol’s president since 1989 and is responsible for all of Softrol’s manufacturing and engineering functions. Brent has over 32 years of professional, technical, and managerial experience with three companies including National Linen Services (division of National Services Industries), Keith Associates, Inc., and Softrol Systems, Inc.

Brent’s experience with National Linen was as Laboratory Supervisor of their Textile Lab. During this time, he was instrumental in integrating computer systems into the collection, reporting, and storage of laboratory results. He also led the wash formulation development of a new type of continuous wash system. After National Linen, Brent joined Keith Associates where he specialized in consulting projects that entailed startup and integration of fully automated laundries and reporting systems. He was awarded a U.S. Patent on a new type of washing machine while at Keith Associates.

Brent studied chemistry and information systems at Kennesaw State University and Georgia State University.

HelmutHarfmannHelmut Harfmann
Vice President of Operations

Helmut recently joined Softrol as our Vice President of Operations and provides a wealth of management experience that strengthens Softrol’s ability to service our core marketplace and customers, as well as position us for continued growth. Helmut has been involved in operations management in companies serving the Textile and Uniform Rental Market for 40 years. For the previous sixteen years, Helmut was with Jensen, USA where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Vice President of Service. Helmut also has experience as an operations executive with Lavatec and G. A. Braun.

Bob-BenjaminBob Benjamin
Vice President, Finance & Administration

Bob has been Vice President of Finance for Softrol Systems, Inc. since 2000. He has over 30 years of executive management responsibility serving in a variety of positions with major corporations including Director of Parts and Service Division for Borg Warner UK, Director of Corporate Business Planning for Borg Warner Corporation, and Vice President of Operations for Stoneridge Resources, Inc.  Bob is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and received his MBA from Wharton School of Finance.

Don-NabloDon Nablo
Director, Technical Services

Don joined Softrol in 2002 and has over 15 years of experience in the laundry industry. Prior to Softrol Don was with IBM where he was recognized numerous times for outstanding performance and technical expertise. Don is an honors graduate of Iowa State University where he majored in electrical engineering.

Rick-CanfieldRick Canfield
Manager, Product Engineering

Rick is a veteran at Softrol having joined the company in 1995. Prior to Softrol, Rick designed high speed packaging machinery, so he’s no stranger to complex and intricate operations. Rick holds a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech.

Roger-CheesmanRoger Cheesman
Manager, Production Engineering

Roger joined Softrol in 1992. Prior to that, Roger was Operations Manager for Shared Hospital Services in Nashville Tennessee. With over 32 years  of mechanical and technical experience in the industry, Roger leads the Rail System product line as well as being a project manager for the Garment Sort product line.
